Finding a New Home

There are a lot of emotions that spring up as one moves from one place to another. As things are being gathered, memories are also drawn up as well. We overflow with thoughts about our times of joy, familiarity, and suffering.
So it has come to an eight month end in this brand new home of ours. We had moved in with so much hope and anticipation, yet our expectations were not to be.
Just when we seemed to have settled down in our difficulties, it became apparent to ous that God is moving us to a new place to live. It is not new and not impressive, but it meets our need. So in this we give thanks to our Father, as the verse says,
"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want." Philippians 4:12
But we are not just content, for we are also rejoicing! For what new plans God has for us! Are they not splendid and glorious?
1 Corinthians 2:9
However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" —
So in this we have a new hope and we thank God for a fresh start. He has seen fit that we do not stay in a place of sorrow, where much trouble has happened, but He "makes all things new." (Revelation 21:5)
Give thanks to Him, for in His promise we have a home. He is our refuge and our shelter, not only in this life, but even unto the glory of eternity in heaven. Amen!
