It says in God's Word that "He gives beauty for ashes" (Isaiah 61:3). God is not set about giving His children the biggest houses, fastest cars, and huge bank accounts. To receive these things are certainly a blessing, but God's passion is people. He wants to make his children beautiful! He desires to adorn His bride with a crown of beauty!! What kind of beauty is this? It is not a physical attraction, but a spiritual one. It is a beauty that is refined through trials, persecutions, and sufferings for the sake of Him. It is when you mourn that you are comforted by Him though you still don't understand. For He indeed knows better than us, yet He gives us wisdom and understanding when we ask with a pure heart (James 3:17).
I believe in the coming days we will begin to see "why" all these things have happened to us. For God will enlighten us and will be our comfort in times of trouble.
