Faith and Confidence

It is so tempting for the Christian to become proud of their faith. The focus can so subtly, and easily move away from the Mighty to the weak and feeble. When we stop trying to measure our faith and compare it to others or think of it as not enough, we can begin to understand what Jesus said about the mustard seed. It does not matter the size but the kind of faith. It matters what and Who you are believing in. This now becomes our confidence! We are no longer shackled to hold account of everyone who wrongs us, or even those who may take our own lives. For we know there is a righteous judge over us and our voices of bitterness turn to that of the martyrs plea "Forgive them, for they know not what they do." It is this faith that does not curse, but blesses our enemies and does good to those who persecute us. We are confident that when we commit ourselves to God, He will determine our best in every situation. For the follower of Christ, there is no other path more glorious.
